You may have seen the error notice on the top of our page regarding subgraphs and indexing data. To explain this in a little more detail, APY.vision uses The Graph, Subgraphs for on-chain data to help bring you updated and real-time chain information that we use to make the calculations for your pool and rewards. Occasionally these subgraphs need updating, reindexing, or sometimes get knocked offline, which means that our data feed gets interrupted and has effects on our service.
We are working towards a robust system with backups to use when our various feeds go down, so hopefully you won't see these errors often.
So how do the subgraph errors affect me? Below are some of the feeds monitored on https://app.apy.vision/status and what it means if one of them is delayed or down:
note: these errors are usually specific to a particular network. For example, Fantom may be delayed, but Ethereum is up to date
"APY Vision User Account Subgraph" is delayed or down:
This means that we are "blind" within the window of the delay. So if we are delayed 24hours and you entered or exited a position 2 hours ago, that change won't be reflected on your dashboard until the subgraph catches up. Once the subgraph is up to speed and synced service should be back to normal. It's fine to transact normally during this time, our data will catch back up to any moves you make.
"Historical price feed for X AMM" is delayed or down:
This error will affect some of our stats and metrics of your positions. It is mostly items with in our "view details" area. It's fine to transact normally during this time, our data will catch back up to any moves you make.
"Pro members price data or Free members price data" is delayed or down:
If our current price data is delayed or not available this will affect the current value calculations for your LP positions and any calculations that depend on this price to give you more information about your position. It's fine to transact normally during this time, our data will catch back up to any moves you make.
